Black Ops 2 PDW-57 Run ‘n Gun Class Setup

The PDW is a very popular gun in Black Ops 2, and for good reason. It’s a great weapon. It has a pretty decent damage output, it’s pretty steady, very accurate, and perfect for holding down objectives or just taking out enemy players. The loadout we’re sharing today is created to be for fast, aggressive players. You’ll be able to dash right in, get a few kills, and rack up points quick.

Here’s the full setup:

Primary Weapon

Black Ops 2 PDW-57

The PDW-57 is an awesome weapon. It has a decent fire rate, it deals a good amount of damage, and is very accurate in short to medium range encounters. This by far one of our favorite SMGs to use for objective games on smaller maps like Hijacked, Hydro, Raid, and other small to medium sized maps.

Recommended Attachments: Fore Grip, Quickdraw Handle

We’re big fans of the Fore Grip attachment. It almost always nulls out or at least severely lessens the amount of recoil on a gun so it’s very useful. The Quickdraw Handle is great for this loadout because it helps with being able to go to ADS (aiming down sights) quicker making it easier to pick off a group of enemies in a tight space.

Secondary Weapon

Black Ops 2 B23R

As with almost all of our other SMG loadouts, we recommend using the B23R with this setup. That pistol almost always compliments a class that is designed for speed and aggression (catch that reference? witty, we are). Generally, you don’t have to resort to using your secondary weapon much when running the PDW because it does have a decent mag size and is pretty efficient, but in those rare instances you need to swap, the B23R is the best handgun to have.

Perks

Tier 1 – Lightweight & Hardline (make sure to put the Perk 1 Greed wildcard on first). Lightweight is a must for any class that is designed for speed. Hardline just makes it easier to earn your scoresteaks which is useful for getting helpful things or kills.

Tier 2 – Toughness. If you ever get in a predicament where you absolutely have to fire your gun at longer distances, or even if you’re aiming at enemy that’s just 5 feet away, their bullets can cause your gun to bounce up and down, disrupting your aim. Toughness reduces the amount of flinch your player experiences during these kinds of encounters making it easier to hit your target.

Tier 3 – Extreme Conditioning. This perk is great because when it’s coupled with Lightweight you can not only run faster than most players, but you can run further. This makes it easier to come around the backside of enemies or just catch up to them if they’re trying to run away from your gun fire.

Equipment Picks

Lethal – Frag Grenade. Normally, we recommend using Semtex for fast classes but we like using this particular loadout for objective games more than anything. Frags are great for cooking and tossing onto an objective full of enemies to either get a couple kills or at least take their shields down enough for you to run in with the PDW and finish the job.

Tactical – None.

Scorestreaks

Tier 1 – UAV: For marking enemies on your map for you to flush out with your gun or grenades.

Tier 2 – Counter UAV: Makes it easier for you to run around the map without enemies knowing you’re coming.

Tier 3 – Lightning Strike: Great for objective games, gets quick, easy kills, especially when placed in strategic locations around objective points.
