Welcome to the beginning of a new series we’re starting on Gamocial. We know how important it is to know what the best weapons in Black Ops 2 are and how to use them correctly. More importantly, players need to know which attachments and perks best compliment different weapon types, and which loadouts work best for each gametype found in BO2. So we’re starting up a video / text series where we will reveal some of our favorite class setups for each weapon in the game.
Today’s loadout is perfect for the player that wants to rush the opponent, guns a blazin’. It’s a class designed for speedy, powerful attacks. We’ve found that it works best in gametypes such as Hardpoint and Domination on small to medium sized maps.
Here’s the actual class setup:
The Chicom is a very underrated gun in BO2. Very few players make use of it. It’s a very unique weapon. It’s classified in the game as an SMG but it’s very different from the SMGs CoD players have become accustomed to. It’s not a fully automatic gun, it’s a burst shot. But it produces a very fast burst shot. It feels more like an assault rifle but has the speed of an SMG.
The Chicom works very well in short to medium range engagements. A player with a fast trigger finger can almost make this weapon feel like a full-auto SMG. It’s pretty accurate and fires extremely fast making it pretty easy to take down enemies in close to mid range with just a few, quick shots. The hip-fire on this weapon isn’t bad, either, so if you get in a tight spot and don’t have time to look down the sights, you can still fire off a few bursts and get a kill.
Recommended Attachments: EDTech Sights, Extended Clip
The EDTech sights give this gun a bit more range and accuracy, making it more deadly at longer distances. Extended clip is a much needed extra for this gun as it does blast through its magazine fairly quickly. Using Extended Clip will reduce the number of reloads you’ll have to do.

We have a love-hate relationship with the B23R pistol. It’s great in so many ways: it’s very accurate, it deals a ton of damage, and it has very little recoil. But, at the same time, we hate it. Why? Because for a simple pistol it feels REALLY overpowered. But, since it has yet to be adjusted, instead of hating it, we’ll use it to our advantage.
Equip this bad boy as your secondary weapon. If you get in a tight spot where you’ve just fired your last Chicom bullet and don’t have time for a reload, swapping to the B23R is fast and with a couple well-aimed shots, it’s guaranteed to take your opponent out. This pistol is great for either finishing off a kill or just running around with, popping enemies off left and right. It’s fast and strong.
Tier 1 – Lightweight: This perk compliments the goal of this class, to be able to run in and wipe out enemies quickly. Perfect for the run ‘n gun player.
Tier 2 – Toughness: For those encounters where you’ll be engaging enemies that are at further distances, this is a great perk to have active. It reduces the amount of flinch you’ll have if you happen to get hit by some of the opponent’s bullets.
Tier 3 – Tactical Mask: We generally recommend this perk a lot. There are just too many players out there that throw tactical grenades out all the time. This perk eliminates nearly all of the effects of things like concussions, flashbangs, and shock charges.
Lethal – Semtex: Semtex is great for when you need a quick explosion to take out a small group of enemies headed your way, or to get rid of annoying campers. It explodes nearly immediately making it next to impossible to escape. Regular frag grenades, on the other hand, need to be cooked for the same effects.
Tactical – Concussion x2: While they are a very basic piece of equipment, concussions can be very useful. They stun your enemy, making them almost useless, long enough for you to take them out easily. These can also be tossed around corners or into rooms to find out if enemies are present. If you get a hit marker, there’s either an enemy, or a piece of enemy equipment nearby.
